🚂 Full Steam Ahead… We’re Launching in St Albans!

There’s something quite special about that moment when an idea turns into reality.

For a little while now, I’ve had a feeling that something was missing from our Train Time Play Time map… and if I’m honest, St Albans has been on my mind for a long time.

So I’m really excited to finally say it out loud:

We’re launching a brand new Train Time Play Time venue in St Albans.

Why St Albans?

Train Time Play Time has grown because families keep coming back. Not because it’s complicated or flashy—but because it works.

It gives children space to play freely, to explore, to get completely absorbed in something they love… and it gives grown-ups a chance to step back (often with a cup of tea in hand) and just enjoy watching that happen.

St Albans felt like the natural next step. A busy, family-focused community where weekends are precious—and finding something genuinely engaging for children can make all the difference.

What makes Train Time Play Time different?

If you’ve never been before, here’s what you won’t find:

❌ No pressure to build the “perfect” track
❌ No complicated set-up
❌ No structured activities your child has to follow

Instead, you’ll walk into a hall filled with:

✔️ Pre-built train tracks ready to play
✔️ Over 100 trains, vehicles and accessories
✔️ Big, imaginative layouts with tunnels, bridges and surprises
✔️ Ride-on fun for those children who like something a bit bigger

It’s simple, but that’s the point.

Children lead the play. They move between tracks, create their own stories, and come back to the same set-up again and again in completely different ways.

And for the grown-ups…

This part matters more than people expect.

Train Time isn’t just about keeping children entertained—it’s about creating a space that works for families as a whole.

That means:

☕ Complimentary tea and coffee
💬 A relaxed, welcoming atmosphere
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 No charge for adults
🎟️ Flexible sessions that fit around real life

Whether you come with friends, siblings, grandparents, or just the two of you—it’s designed to feel easy without cutting corners on the experience.

Building something new (again)

Launching a new venue always brings a mix of excitement and nerves.

Because behind every session is a real person setting it up, packing it down, testing what works, tweaking what doesn’t—and hoping families walk in and feel that same spark we see every time the trains start moving.

St Albans is no different.

It’s a new space, a new community, and a fresh opportunity to bring something a bit special to families who haven’t experienced it before.

Come and see it for yourself

If you’re local to St Albans (or nearby), I’d genuinely love you to come and experience it.

Not because I think it’s “the best thing ever”…

…but because I know what happens when children walk into that room.

They light up.
They get stuck in.
And for an hour, nothing else really matters.

Ready to book?

Our first sessions are now live, and as always, spaces are limited to keep the experience right for everyone.
